British Medical Association, which then had some branches in the-then

After the Indian Medical Association was organized, an agreement was struck between both the Associations, and an understanding was reached that the British Medical Association won't have any branch in India, and both the Associations got mutually affiliated – a relationship which still continues till date.
Objectives
The major objectives of the Indian medical Association include:
- Promotion and advancement of medical and all related sciences
- Improving the public health and medical education in India
- Maintaining the honor and dignity of the medical profession
Milestones
During its history of more than seven decades, the Indian Medical Association has participated in several activities, which include:
1946: assisted in the formation of the World Medical Association, and became one of its founder members.
